Amusement Ride Safety

amusement ride height signBrisbane Amusement Ride Hire is committed to putting safety first. As a top priority, all rides and attractions are thoroughly inspected each day before opening. Trained ride foremen carefully inspect each ride looking for missing pins, stress, and electrical issues that would impair safe operation of the device. In the event that a piece of equipment needs repair, it is repaired by our full-time maintenace staff or a qualified electrician and then reinspected before being allowed to operate.

During each off season, our equipment is assessed and equipment in need of repair is fully refurbished. Sometimes, rides may be in need of a basic cosmetic makeover and other times, a ride may be completely refurbished in accordance to the manufacturers specifications.

Our full range of mechanical amusement devices are nationally registered with Workplace Health and Safety, and thoroughly inspected by qualified structural engineers.

Ride attendants are fully trained in all aspects of amusement ride set up, operation, and safety. We ensure attendants are well groomed, polite, and wearing our standard uniform.

When riding fairground attractions, it is important to adhere to the ride restrictions and regulations posted outside each ride. In order get the most out of your event, there are important rules to ALWAYS follow to keep your experience SAFE and FUN!

Check your Height

  • For your safety, all mechanical rides have height requirements.
  • Save time by measuring your child in advance. After finding the correct measurement, look for the Safety signs posted at each ride to ensure safety and timely movement through the ride lines.
  • Please be advised that children under 1.0m may be required to ride some of the attractions with a non paying adult rider for safety purposes.
  • Please be advised that children over 1.2m and under 1.3m may be required to ride some of the attractions with a paying adult rider for safety purposes.
  • If your child is under the height requirement, and not permitted to ride, please do not ask the ride attendant to "bend the rules". Attendants have a job to do, and arguing only makes the job that much harder
